Jus In Bello

Foreword

On the dreadful day Netanyahu came to be “elected” for the third time, I knew he was brought back to finish what he had started, to get the job done. Some people simply get their fuel from darkness. As “Bibi” here and his high ranking officials frantically referred to civilian Palestinians as “human animals” on TV and branded them as their biblical enemy “Amalek” (1 Samuel 15:1-9), who were consisting of mostly children that were trapped in a small area and systematically deprived of a dignified living for decades by his government, he was more than content, ready and driven to shed blood. He swore vengeance (as if it were some kind of virtue) with a demeanor a bit too eerily pleased with himself; then and there it was apparent to any sane person with conscience in their hearts and reason in their minds that he was a dangerous raving criminal lunatic.

Unfortunately not so to the majority of the people of Israel, who have been constantly pumped up with lies, brainwashing and propaganda for those same decades. Make no mistake, trapped on the other side of the walls themselves, this time systematically deprived of the ability to extend compassion and kindness to other people’s suffering, and the ability to perceive their natural reflex of retaliation in the aftermath of said suffering, they have been exposed to hatred and false victimhood mentality day and night. Unsuspecting Jewish masses were still treated like worthless toys in dirty little games- as if the Holocaust was not enough. At least the Palestinians were physically trapped, attacked and abused, their souls were not the target, their minds and bodies were. Their humanity was intact in the face of destitution and they died as such; like 6 year old Hind Rajab, wounded and trapped in a car targeted with more than 300 bullets surrounded by the corpses of her family reciting prayer for mercy with Red Crescent dispatcher on the phone while waiting for hours for the paramedics that never arrived, because they were killed by IDF as well, not very far.

The Israeli people on the other hand were for years under constant supervision of their government on what to see, hear, think and feel on this topic, much like the western citizens of the world being exposed to Fake News (Thanks Trump, this term is your only worthwhile contribution imo). Any sympathy displayed towards the people of Palestine being heavily suppressed with imprisonment, attacks and threats by the Israeli government, they had no choice but to lose their conscience and souls along with their centuries old dignity, respect and resilience earned through hardships endured; trampled under this maniacal social experiment. There are dissidents who have woken up and some even managed to leave Israel and many actual Holocaust survivors as well as Jewish communities all around the world spoke up against the systemic torture inflicted on people of Gaza but unfortunately the residents of the country have very little opportunity to have an independent opinion of their own. They are in a prison of their minds when it comes to the captives of the largest open air prison of the world, without realizing, mirroring them in their own captivity.

The Red Pill

Politics are a distraction for us gullible masses; from the most seemingly powerful countries to the more destitute ones, we the people don’t really decide who gets elected and what they do with this power afterwards. It is way too important a position to let the people to decide, therefore the cards are already stacked with plans A, B and C in mind, just in case.

After we get rid of the illusions of political propaganda, anyone who really would like to know what is going on in a given situation, just needs to follow the white rabbit. It is power. Consequently, often enough, money.

So let’s. Who earned from this genocide?

It’s not Palestinians. Millions of dollars worth of weaponry exchanged hands along with financial support, sanctified by US and these are only the documented ones. Elbit stock shares skyrocketed, while they tested their weapons on actual people in the Gaza open air lab. Weeks into the invasion, Israel awarded gas exploration licenses to major firms in Gaza, even though it is not its territory to do so. These are just a few examples and some of the real gains, we will never know and see.

Who gained anything else from this genocide?

It’s not Palestinians. US and Israeli government on the other hand have already started discussing their beach front properties and calling the land with its biblical names. The pretend act of allowing people back inside an unlivable area is a strategic move for façade management and no doubt the dose of psychological abuse will be maximized to finally break their spirits and send them off to some neighboring country as Trump himself admitted to pressure Jordan and Egypt for accepting them – as it was the plan all along. The reputation of Israel as a state on the other hand is at its all time low, despite all efforts to whitewash the atrocities it brought upon the face of the Earth via media, and despite the standing ovations of US senate for Netanyahu- well, expectedly so, after all the donations of the lobbies that made them elected in the first place.

Anyone who knows anything about anything in the world knows that terrorist organizations as well as these artificial states don’t create themselves. It is created by those who will benefit the most from their actions and existence in the end game. I am appalled if anyone thinks Hamas terrorist organization is created by the impoverished indigenous people of Palestine or being legitimate representatives of them despite Israel’s all efforts to equate one with another. I am appalled if anyone thinks the state of Israel is created and supported to protect the Jewish people or even fundamentalist religious interests. I am also appalled that Israel and US did not have prior info on October 7th events. They track everything and everyone going in and out of that region. They control the water, the electricity, the food, the people, the suitcases of money sent to support Hamas, they have the most developed intelligence organizations of the world. It is no secret that this day was coming and it was all a matter of time and creating the right environment- a valid casus belli. In fact, I would be surprised if it weren’t in some way in parallel to Netanyahu’s infamous 2% rhetoric related to Hebron.

Qatar does, the official allows, transfer $30 million each month to the Hamas administration in Gaza. But those payments are performed in consultation with Washington and Israel – and with their approval, he says (Source:Der Spiegel)

To the trained eye, and curious mind, it is obvious that the raison d’être of this “armed conflict” has very little to do with people living in the area, on either side. Here and there you may find the bleeding of the ink, of course Hamas could also recruit Palestinians, wouldn’t you fight in any way possible to the oppressive occupant Israel state having depleted you and your loved ones from basic human rights? Of course IDF will still recruit Israelis, wouldn’t you serve faithfully to your country after being fed lies, victimhood and hatred rhetoric every day of your life? However, the lines drawn in the big picture are more sinister than we think and are led to believe.

The Gist

Let us swim back to the surface of the water from the depths of the ocean.

There is international law set in place for conduct in war. Not that Palestinians have any kind of means to defend themselves to Israel or even to Hamas for that matter, so that this systematical attack and genocide could have been constituted as war; but, since it is the narrative of mainstream media “owned” by moguls that decided and instructed that it should be so and that is being shoved down our throats for many months now, let’s take this one sided brutal massacre as “war”.

Here is a brief summary of jus in bello.

The protection of those who are not, or are no longer, directly taking part in hostilities. Countless civilians, mostly children, journalists and medical professionals were not only not protected, they were deliberately targeted to be killed, as per documented boastfully by IDF soldiers, making it the most documented genocide in human history and proven to be classified under Grave Breaches specified in four Geneva conventions. The Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocol I make it clear that grave breaches must be punished by the States.
Restrictions on the means of warfare – in particular weapons – and the methods of warfare, such as military tactics.
- The principle of distinction requires that the parties to an armed conflict distinguish at all times between civilians and civilian objects on the one hand, and combatants and military objectives on the other, and that attacks may only be directed against combatants and military objectives.Nearly fifty thousand civilians who were killed were mostly children. All the 36 hospitals were attacked and damaged as well as the schools, along with residential buildings.
- The principle of proportionality, a corollary to the principle of distinction, dictates that, when attacking a military objective, incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, must not be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated. This principle requires parties to anticipate incidental harm that might be caused directly by an attack and the indirect (i.e. reverberating) effects, provided that they are reasonably foreseeable. More than 80% of entire Gaza structures were eradicated and reduced to debris and the entire area became completely unlivable, basically Gaza along with its people wiped out, as many members of Likud and government officials have called for and the government officials openly admitted they were planning to do at the start of this frenzy.
- The principle of precaution requires parties to an armed conflict to take constant care to spare the civilian population, civilians and civilian objects in the conduct of all military operations. These include troop movements and manoeuvres preparatory to combat, such as for ground operations in urban areas. The principle also requires parties to a conflict to take a range of precautions in attack (“active precautions”) and a range of precautions against the effects of attacks to protect civilians and civilian objects (“passive precautions”). Precautions no. Deliberate mass murders, clean sniper shootings to “both head and heart” of small children, drone killings after a shooting failed to kill all the civilians, again, mostly children, to “finish the job” and to constantly terrorize them, yes. Starvation of civilians and perfidy are some of the methods of warfare specifically prohibited under IHL. It is forbidden to order that there be no survivors in battle (i.e. to order that “no quarter shall be given”). Specific rules also apply to demilitarized zones and non-defended areas. The use of means and methods of warfare that are intended, or may be expected, to cause widespread, long-term and severe damage to the natural environment are also prohibited. Food and water support is blocked to the area by Israel, civilians including children starved to death and did not have access to medical support. Not much nature or animals are left in the area, if any under the debris. Any infrastructure is destroyed including water supply and sewage drainage systems causing epidemics of deadly illnesses to spread. As per perfidy, ambushing medics trying to save a wounded child after clearing their passage by IDF- Hunger Games style- is documented by Red Crescent. Israeli representatives’ constant vows to wipe out the residents in area corroborates the intent behind the reality followed.

End Word

If there were any terrible nightmares on living Earth, this one ranks high. It has been going on for more than a year, in fact decades now, and humanity failed-yet again. Much like Afghanistan, much like continent Africa, much like Iraq and Syria, endless wars and apartheid regimes continue their grim existence far away from its perpetrators one after another-coincidentally- with a complete disregard for the civilians’ and nature’s welfare and never to be resolved, because why should they be. Jus in Bello is a joke left on paper only, as when pressured, the White House Representative admits in the press conferences that they kindly (pretended to) ask Israel to look into their war crimes to see if they have actually committed them, thank you very much.

As this frivolous double standard continue, soon the existing international structures are doomed to be demolished for there will be no reason to take them into account. Alternative routes such as the BRICS will be followed by more reliable world alliances in other areas, that do take people’s lives more seriously, inevitably. Fascism is on the rise all around, and more dangerously so, because people of the world are too busy scrolling through their phones and basically having the memory span of a goldfish.
